Who we are

This website is run by DIYTaxFlix. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the controller of any personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at info@diytaxflix.com.

What this website collects

This website does not have any forms and does not ask you for personal information. The only data collected is pseudonymous usage data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and only if you accept analytics cookies. This includes your approximate location (derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you got to this site. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

Cookies we use

_ga and _ga_* are set by Google Analytics, only with your consent. They help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read. They last for up to 2 years.

dtf_analytics_consent remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. It is strictly necessary for the site to respect your choice, and lasts 1 year.

Purchases and courses

Purchases and course access are handled by LearnWorlds, which acts under its own privacy policy. Please read it at https://www.learnworlds.com/privacy-policy/. We do not receive your payment details.

Lawful basis

We use analytics cookies only on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). You can withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep data

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Cookies expire after the periods given above.

International transfers

Google may process analytics data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, Google relies on approved safeguards for international transfers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@diytaxflix.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk.

Changing your cookie choices

You can control cookies at any time by deleting them in your browser.
